Wie es heißt, wolle Liwni, die bereits als Nachfolgerin Olmerts gehandelt wird, ihn persönlich zum Amtsverzicht auffordern. Eine offizielle Untersuchungskommission hatte den Regierungschef und seinen Verteidigungsminister Amir Peretz für schwerwiegende Fehler im Libanon-Krieg verantwortlich gemacht. ANKARA: Angesichts des Streits über die Wahl eines neuen Präsidenten hat die türkische Regierungspartei AKP eine vorgezogene Parlamentswahl beantragt. Die Abstimmung solle am 24. Juni stattfinden, erklärte die konservativ-religiöse Partei. Ministerpräsident Recep Tayyip Erdogan hatte bereits am Dienstagabend Neuwahlen angekündigt. Ein Haftbefehl richte sich gegen den sudanesischen Staatssekretär für humanitäre Angelegenheiten, Ahmed Harun, der früher als Minister für Darfur zuständig war, heißt es in einer Erklärung des Gerichts. Die Bundesagentur für Arbeit bestätigte, dass die Zahl der Erwerbslosen im April auf knapp 3,97 Millionen gesunken ist - rund 141.000 weniger als im März und 824.000 weniger als im April 2006. Die Quote verringerte sich auf 9,5 Prozent. Entsprechende Angaben hatte Bundesarbeitsminister Franz Müntefering bereits am Dienstag gemacht.
