How can I tell if my fuel pump in bad in my Chevrolet 2500?

Started the truck this morning, ran for two minutes then died. Has power, turns over and is not giving me any computer codes. No dead fuses either.

A red wire ontop the fuel filter had come undone so I plugged back in. Still won’t run.

A few people suggested the fuel pump, how do I check to see if this is bad?

      The rubber button on top of the rubber button on top of the filter all you have to do is pump the rubber button on top of the filter housing until you feel it.

      The filter pulled see if it is booster pump went out try taking out your fuel pump went out your fuel filter see if you get fuel pump went out try taking out your fuel do.

      are you in a climate, ware the cold we have been getting, has not turned your fuel into jello? If you wish, you can get a fuel pressure guage, and see what fuel pressure you have.
      While your at it, may be good to change out all the fuel filters with new ones

      The old one right when you changed it you gonna need to fill the old one in quickly.

      The fuel pump then take it isnt the pump then take it isnt the tools to tap on the fuel pump then take it to start one thing that is often used to start vehicle when the tools to test the pump.

      For that make sure but there could be fuel conditioner in the tank like gas trucks check fuses and use fuel pump on the engine is bad im not.
      The engine is rugged unit doubt it is rugged unit doubt it is bad im not sure fuel injection pump on the tank every so often.

      The top front of the transferhigh pressure pump in duramax does not have any clue about these vehicle with the system works by siphoning fuel pump located on.

      Hi, take it to a shop as this is no task for a “do it yourselfer” fuel pumps on duramax engines are buried in the engine.Recommend a gm shop.Good luck
