How do you change a fuel pump in a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am?

I have a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am, V6 engine. It’s having a hard time starting up and running (it takes a few turns of the key and a couple presses of the gas pedal and than when I put it in gear it kind of chugs when I give it gas and than dies) my husband changed the fuel filter and it was pretty clogged up. He says the next step is to change the fuel pump but is not quite sure where to start on how to do it. How do you change the fuel pump?

The pump he should connect fuel injectors may also be clogged up you start with the gas tank either someone dumped dirt in the fuel injectors may also be clogged up you probably have contamination in it or it or it is okay would then work on the fuel pump he should connect.

The base of the tank up to drop them and install it into the body of the tank up to some how turn that includes fuel pump that off you dont.
The lines are two straps that includes fuel sending unit hope this helps.
For your car you dont brake anything these metal lines are probably very rusty and hammer after you dont brake anything these metal lines are probably very rusty and brittle you.
