The strikes by 9,200 workers at two parts plants in Flint, Michigan, have meant the layoff of more than 63,000 other GM workers at 16 assembly plants and 67 additional parts plants throughout North America.




The strikes at the Metal Centre and Delphi Flint East are largely over fears that the automaker plans to cut jobs, or close or sell the parts factories.
