Instead of just relying on the dealership experience, which they have done for some time, Alexander Edwards says, “We’re going to come out with products that are going to blow everybody away.” Alexander Edwards is the president of Strategic Vision Inc. The firm tapped 27,000 United States car buyers to get their views on the particular car brands that they have bought or are looking to buy the next time they need a car.

“This is an exciting, historic project for Jeffrey M. Brown Associates to be associated with,” said Harold Lyons, JMB’s project executive. “We are looking forward to working with two new clients and continuing to help revitalize New York’s neighborhoods through projects such as this auto mall and the new Target in Riverdale.”

The study, which placed General Motors and Toyota tied for fourth, was conducted by Strategic Vision, a research firm based in California. Last year, General Motors finished fifth in the survey.

Building exteriors will feature the large glass storefronts that are common to most automobile dealerships. Two floors will be surfaced with prefabricated metal panels and/or concrete. The upper floors will have exterior panels with operable windows. All of the dealerships will be providing full automotive service and repair facilities, and service bays and auto storage will be housed on the second and third floors.
