What is the Dependablility of a Pontiac Sunfire?
July 9th, 2009 | by Administrator |I have a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire 4Door SE. It has 117,000 miles. I give it regular oil changes, and it was given a tune up last year. The only thing I had to replace on it was the alternator at 90,000 miles, and break pads and rotors. On occassion it’ll run funny (a little rough), but most of the time it purrs like a kitten. I’ve had the car for 3 years. I’m debating whether or not to trade the car in for a Honda since my experience with Honda’s is their made to run on high miles (i’ve had a honda before). How dependable is a Sunfire on high miles? Should I trade it in?

if you change the oil on a regular basis ( every 3,000 miles) then it will last well over 300,000 miles, mine currently has 313,000 miles and it has not had any major engine work yet, still runs like new.
